Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC), the fifth largest community college in Oregon, provides academic transfer and professional/technical programs, offering over 50 associate degrees and 20 certificate programs. LBCC also offers adult basic education and high school completion programs, retraining opportunities, and a variety of workshops and seminars, as well as career counseling, academic and personal guidance, financial aid, job placement, athletic scholarships and supportive learning services. The college provides Extended Learning Centers in Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon and Sweet Home, offering a variety of classes to people in outlying areas of Linn County and Benton County. County residents may enjoy the college's free library services, special tuition rates, free speakers service, televised courses, and musical and theatrical productions. LBCC operates on a quarter system; classes begin in late September and continue through late August.
