The Oregon Legislature established the Oregon Tourism Commission as an independent body responsible for the promotion of tourism in Oregon. The main offices of the Oregon Tourism Commission are in Salem. It maintains an additional office in Portland and directs the work of nine State of Oregon Welcome Centers at the points of entry around Oregon.
The Oregon Tourism Commission is responsible for advertising and for developing and distributing printed pieces for visitors.
The state's official new Travel Web Site is now on the air! This is also the place to request a Free Guide to Oregon.
