Sixes

The small southern Oregon Coast community of Sixes lies along Highway 101 and the Sixes River, just north of Port Orford.

Sixes was named after a Chinook Indian word for "friend."

Some of the best salmon and steelhead Fishing in the state is supplied by the Sixes River and Elk River.

Sixes is situated at the farthest northwest corner of the Siskiyou National Forest border.

Another popular destination for this area is the Cape Blanco State Park.
