Church of the Holy Apostles

This church was built in 1856 of cypress wood in the Gothic style of the English parish church. The Episcopal sanctuary was used as a stable for Union horses by Sherman on his 1865 march of destruction. The church is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a private residence.
