Mark's 9 was opened by Mark and Cam Cartier in the summer of 1993. It is a short golf course (of executive length) which has a friendly, family run atmosphere. Most rounds can be played in about two hours, leaving plenty of time for a second 9. Despite its brevity, Mark's 9 remains a very challenging collection of golf holes. Its fairways are narrow in design and are defined by tall stands of jack pine, white poplar and spruce. As commanding as these trees may be, extensive clearing has made the rough more forgiving than you might expect. Water comes into play on four of the holes here and there are sand traps around many of the course's average to large sized greens.
