This park, on the banks of Utah's
Green River, is highlighted by tall cottonwood trees, shading manicured lawns. The park is a favored embarkation point for river trips through Labyrinth and Stillwater canyons, and is a good base from which to see southeastern Utah. Scenic attractions within a two-hour drive of the park include Arches, Canyon lands, and Capitol Reef national parks; Dead Horse Point and Goblin Valley state parks;
Lake Powell; the San Rafael Reef; and Horseshoe Canyon. The park is also the starting point of an annual 180-mile Friendship Cruise.
Park facilities include a campground, modern bathrooms and showers, picnic areas and group-use pavilion, an amphitheater for interpretive programs, and boat ramp. A new 9-hole golf course offers meandering fairways, lakes and traps that will challenge all levels of golfers.
