Yorktown Visitor Center

Located at the eastern end of the Colonial Parkway, the center includes parts of Washington's campaign tents, an observation deck, a reconstructed section of a gun deck and a British frigate captain's cabin. A film relates the events of the siege; the automobile tour begins at this point and self-guided tour leaflets and taped tours of the battlefield are available. Open daily 9am-5pm; closed Christmas Day. Hours may vary, calling ahead is suggested.
