The scenic Blackwater Falls are 65 feet high, and the gorge below is more than 525 feet deep. An observation point is on the gorge's rim; stairways descend to the foot of the falls. Recreational activities include cross-country skiing, paddle boating, hiking, picnicking, swimming, tennis, bicycling, volleyball and nature programs. Food is available. Park open daily 6am-10pm. Waterfall accessible 6am-dusk. Campgrounds available April-October, cabins and lodge facilities are available all year. Free to the public.
