Vedauwoo

This recreational area lies 17 miles southeast of Laramie and takes it's name from the Arapaho Indian word meaning 'earth-born spirits'. Rock formations were created during the ice age and eroded into a round shape by the weather, marking the picnic and camping areas. Many rock climbers with skill ranging from novice to expert enjoy climbing on these interesting formations. Vedauwoo is located within Albany County.
