Natrona County is located in central Wyoming. Casper is the seat of the county. Other towns include Alcova.
The county has many state parks, including Edness K Wilkins State Park, east of Casper on the North Platte River, and Independence Rock State Historic Site, in the SW corner of the north of Pathfinder Reservoir and Bird Refuge, a great spot for water recreation and wildlife viewing. Natrona County is bordered by Converse County, Carbon County, Fremont County, and Johnson County.
