Alaska State Parks

Alaska contains the largest state park system in the US with more than 3,000 campsites within its 120 unit park system. There are five state parks: Chugach State Park, Denali State Park, Chilkat State Park, Kachemak Bay State Park and Wood-Tikchik State Park.

In addition, there are 40 state recreation sites and a state historic park. Reservations are not accepted at any state campgrounds. An annual camping pass is available for unlimited camping in a calendar year.
