Conishead Priory is an excellent example of Georgian Gothic architecture and has been carefully restored by the residents of the Manjushri Buddhist Centre, which is now housed in here. It is open to the public on weekend afternoons; visitors may also stay for a reasonable rate. Meditation classes and retreats are held throughout the year. A unique temple has been recently finished and is open to the public during weekend visiting times, or by appointment. Open Easter to the end October; closed June 9-25, July 21-Aug 10 (2001).
