The Fleetwood Museum tells the story of Fleetwood and Lancashire sea fisheries; displays include a reconstructed salt mine, model docks busy with railway wagons and trawlers, and other models show the process of trawling. Compare the heavy fishing gear of the trawlermen with the rakes and riddles of the cockle fisherman; then enter the replica trawler bridge where visitors can re-live the life of the skipper. Open Good Friday to Early November; open bank holidays, closed Wednesdays. Tel (01253) 876621
