This is the park's longest nature trail offering a 45 minute hike through a lovely old hardwood hammock. This trail is easily combined with the Sally Ward Nature Trail. By following it almost to the ranger station, hikers will experience a sandhill pine forest, favorite habitat for the endangered red-cockaded woodpeckers and gopher tortoise.
