Camden Hills State Park

Camden Hills State Park is two miles north of Camden on U.S. Route 1. Visitors may drive or hike to the summit of Mt. Battie for an excellent view of Camden Harbor, Penobscot Bay, and inland lakes and rivers. Mt. Megunticook, highest of the Camden Hills, is a moderate climb by foot trail. The park offers 30 miles of hiking trails with access from five major trailheads. A 112-site camping area includes flush toilets and hot showers. Salt and freshwater beaches are nearby. During the winter, a local snowmobile club maintains several trails when snow permits.
