Ski Touring - - Highway 623 (This is and can be obtained at Blomberg's Amoco Station in Babbitt.) Extremely pleasant easy-to-moderate ski touring on a groomed and moderately traveled trail situated within 120 acres of the first pine plantation in the Superior National Forest. The Cross Country Ski Trail system is a maze of connecting trails with 'you are here' locational maps at each junction and blue markers along the way; most of the trails weave through red pine wildlife habitats, and standard degree of difficulty signs are used. Truly inspiring when the sun is shining through the tall pines; maps available at Babbitt City Hall, Great Minnesota Ski Passes at Blomberg's Amoco in Babbitt.
