Fulton county is located in northwestern Ohio on the Michigan state line and calls Wauseon its county seat. The county population on July 1, 1999, was 42,202, an increase of 3,704 over the 1990 census.
One county removed from both Lake Erie (Lucas County) and the Indiana state line (Williams County), Fulton county can boast of features such as the Tiffin River, flowing through its western section; Harrison Lake, also in the west and Maumee State Forest on its eastern flanks.
I-80/I-90 bisects the county's mid-section allowing easy access to big-city amenities in Toledo.
