Clayton Lake is located in southeastern Oklahoma south of Sardis Lake in Pushmataha County about 4 miles southeast of Clayton. The 66-acre lake has about 2 miles of shoreline and is the focal point of Clayton Lake State Park which is located on the lake's western shores.

Facilities and amenities include a boat ramp, campsites with camper parking, some hookups, beach and picnic area with grills, restrooms and showers and a hiking trail.
