Portland is the county seat of Multnomah, which has a population of 620,000 people living in only 465 square miles. In terms of population, it is easily the largest in Oregon. The major highways of Northwest Oregon all come together in Portland. Interstate 5 crosses and Interstate 84 begins. As well, Highway 26 and Highway 30 both pass through.
