Calhoun Mansion |
The Calhoun Mansion is a brick residence of three stories including a basement level, attic, and cupola. The residence is located on the east side of Meeting Street between Atlantic Street and South Battery (see plat). The mansion has a total area space of 23,927 square feet.
The Calhoun Mansion is a very distinctive and architecturally significant building combing the elements of the Italianate Style and those of the Victorian Style. This Victorian Baronial manor house, circa 1876, features a 75-foot domed ceiling with stairwell.
The Calhoun Mansion is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
