Tangle Lakes

The area gets its name from the maze of lakes and streams in this drainage system. The Delta River canoe trail goes north from the lakes to the Delta River. The area is managed by the Bureau of Land Management - Alaska.

There is a Bureau of Land Management - Alaska campground, wayside and boat launch 1.1 miles north of the Hwy on the shore of Round Tangle Lake. It has 13 sites, toilets and picnicing. There is good fishing, berry picking, and birding. A large caribou herd roams the area.
