Pilgrim Hot Springs |
Unlike most Alaskan hot springs, visitors can reach Pilgrim Hot Springs by car. The springs are on private property north of Nome, and the property includes the remains of a Catholic mission and orphanage (listed on the National Register of Historic Places). The site was also home to a resort, built around 1900, which offered baths, a saloon, and dance hall. Traces of the old bathhouses remain today.
