Seward HwyHwy 1 and 9 |
This All American Road connects Anchorage to Seward on the east coast of the Kenai Peninsula. The paved road is 127 miles long and is open all year. It leaves Anchorage and heads to the north shore of the Turnagain Arm.
The highway travels through Chugach State Park amd Chugach National Forest and provides access to Alyeska Resort, Hope Hwy, Portage Glacier Recreation Area and Kenai Fjords National Park. It joins the Sterling Hwy at Tern Lake. A bike trail from Anchorage to Girdwood runs along the highway.
