Chilkoot Trail

This 33 mile trail begins on Dyea Rd and climbs Chilkoot Pass to Lake Bennett. It is the route of the 1897-98 gold seekers. Hikers should check with the Chilkoot Trail Center in Skagway.

The Trail Center is open 7am to 7pm May through mid-September. It has trail maps, local natural and cultural history guides, plus bear precaution and safety information.
