The Hickman Bridge Trail is highlighted by interpretive markers; a pamphlet that explains the 18 marked sites is available at the visitor center and the trail head. The one-mile hike to the river carved natural bridge features gradual climb; by following the trail around the back side of the Hickman Bridge, hikers get a view of the historic town of Fruita and the confluence of Sulphur Creek with Fremont River, far below. The trail follows Hwy 24, and is located about two miles from the visitor center at the north end of Capitol Reef National Park.
