Platte River Wilderness

Located in the Medicine Bow National Forest, Platte River Wilderness was established in October of 1984. It encompasses at least 22,750 acres of forested land. The North Platte River is a prize winning stretch for trout fishing, especially the north section. The wilderness contains many trails, including the Douglas Creek Trail and Platte River Trail, perfect for hiking or just taking your time.
