Albany County

The Medicine Bow National Forest takes up the entire area of Albany County. This county contains the cities of Laramie, Upton, and Rock River. Albany County is a very diverse county. It contains the aspects of both city life and country life. In Laramie, you can tour the Trail End State Historic Site. Ames Monument is about thirty miles SE of Laramie. Como Bluff Hatchery, a "Dinosaur Graveyard" of sorts, is located north of Rock River. The Laramie Mountains span along the eastern county line.
