Allen county is located in northwestern Ohio and has
Lima as its county seat. The county population on July 1, 1999, was 106,898, a decrease of 2,857 over the 1990 census.
Attractions include the Allen County Museum; the MacDonell House, a Victorian mansion; Tilton Farm, built in the 1850s about 10 miles south of Lima and the Lima Fire Fighters Memorial Museum, to name just a few.
Sizeable towns in the county include Bluffton, home of Bluffton College, in the northeast corner; Fort Shawnee, just south of Lima and Spencerville, in the southwest corner of the county.
