Logan County

Logan county is located in west central Ohio and calls Bellefontaine its county seat. The county population on July 1, 1999, was 46,816, an increase of 4,506 over the 1990 census.

The county contains the state's highest point (at about 1550 feet above sea level) which is located just southeast of Bellfontaine.

Outdoor recreation lovers can take advantage of Indian Lake and State Park in the northwestern quadrant of the county. In addition, a portion of the [miamiriv] flows from north to south through the western section of the county.

Interesting historical sites include the Dunns Pond Mound near Huntsville just north-northwest of the county seat, the First Concrete Street in the U.S. (E. Court St.) in Bellfontaine, the McColly Covered Bridge in the Bloom Center area.
