Keystone Lake is located in northeast Oklahoma and is shared by
Creek County,
Osage County and
Pawnee County. A dam just southeast of the confluence of the
Arkansas River and the
Cimarron River creates the lake's nearly 24,000 acres and 330 miles of shoreline. This gave rise to
Lake Keystone State Park, on the south side of the dam,
Walnut Creek State Park, on the northern shores of the lake and Feyodi Creek State Park, a smallish park on the southern banks of the northwestern portion of the lake. In addition, 21 other areas have been developed (to varying degrees) for public use.
The public hunting area comprises about 15,500 around portions of the lake fosters habitat for dove, quail, rabbit, squirrel and waterfowl.
